Zabok is a town situated in northwest Croatia, about 30 km from Zagreb.  Zabok is situated on the main crossroads in the heart of Hrvatsko Zagorje region. The town is the economical centre of the Krapina-Zagorje County.

Zabok is the central railway hub of Krapina-Zagorje County. It lies on the corridor R201 (Zaprešić-Čakovec) and also serves as a terminus for railway lines to and from Krapina / state border with Slovenia and Gornja Stubica.

The city's industry, economy and infrastructure are constantly and rapidly developing since it is an important transport hub. Zabok is currently the second largest traffic centre in Croatia. In each of its projects, the city emphasizes the use of renewable energy sources and the reduction of energy consumption for the purpose of sustainable development.
